Skype will undergo scheduled system maintenance on February 18 and 19. On these days you may see error messages in the Account section of the Skype website, and when buying Skype Credit or subscriptions. If you see an error message, please wait a few minutes and try again.

We are currently having technical problems with American Express payments in Brazil. Until we resolve the problems, please use one of the other payment options available in Brazil.

UPDATE : Since March 5th American Express payments in Brazil are functioning normally.

We're having some problems with Skype Credit purchasing (both online and in the Skype software) and the My Account section of the website.

These services might be intermittently unavailable, and we are sorry if this causes you any inconvenience. I'll update this post once we have more information.

Dear customers in the Netherlands - our partners have informed us that there might be some problems with iDeal payments.
We kindly ask you to use other payment options available in the Netherlands until further notice.

UPDATE: Issues with iDeal Payments are resolved as of 7th of February 2009 and payments are processed as normal again.

Since around 18:00 GMT, we've been having some problems with Auto-recharge and recurring payments.

Auto-recharge and Recurring payments aren't working as normal, so your balance may fall below the minimum amount without being topped up and your subscription will be renewed with delay. You can still buy Skype credit as normal.

All delayed payments will be made with delay after the issues have been resolved.

We hope to have things back to normal in the next few hours, and we're sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

UPDATE: Issue was resolved 2009-02-05 06:00 GMT and payments are processed as normal again.
