Today, on Friday 28th of November between 09:00 - 09:30 AM GMT, we are carrying out maintenance on our systems which may cause problems with logging into your account in the Skype client and on our website. During this period, you may also have problems sending SMS or making calls to mobiles and landline numbers.

We’ll be carrying out some regular maintenance on our payment systems between the 27th November 2008 and 4th December 2008.
During this series of updates we do not expect that you’ll have any problems making payments to Skype, but you may see some features not working as well as we would want them to. We are working hard in order to make the updates as smoothly as possible.
If you have any questions or have any problems during the maintenance period, please contact our customer support team.
We'll be carrying out some regular maintenance on our payment systems on the 25th of November and due to this you may be unable to pay for Skype Credit or set up Auto-Recharge for short periods of time.
The maintenance started at 08:15 GMT and will be finished within couple of hours.
Once the systems are back up and running we will update this post.

The maintenance was finished at 09:00 GMT and all systems are working normally again.
We apologise unreservedly to those of you affected by problems at our Brazilian payment partner VisaNet Brasil during recent weeks.
Some Skype users were charged incorrectly. We're working with VisaNet Brasil to correct these charges, so please bear with us while we sort things out.
On Saturday 15th November our Automatic top-up system will undergo maintenance between 00:00 and 07:00 AM GMT. During that period automatic payments will not be immediately processed, but will be delivered with a delay after the maintenance window.
UPDATE : Due to unforeseen circumstances, the maintenance due to be carried out between 00.00 and 07.00 on 15th November has had to be postponed. Automatic top-up service will work without delays.
Due to a network glitch, it is not possible to sign in to Skype, either in the Skype software or to your account pages on the Skype website.
In addition, it isn't possible to make calls to landlines and mobiles at the moment.
We're working as fast as we can to fix the problems, and I'll update this post as soon as I know more.
Our online payment partner PayPal has notified of upcoming maintenance on the 11th of November starting from 06:00 GMT and lasting until 10:00 GMT.
If you make a payment with PayPal during the maintenance period there may be a delay in processing it, so please hold tight.
Our Automatic top-up system will not work on 11th of November starting from 06:00 GMT and lasting until 10:00 GMT due to planned maintenance.
Unfortunately, reccuring Skype Credit allocations from Business Control Panel for Skype subscriptions are not working.
