We will be doing some maintenance work on the 23rd September between 06:00 GMT and 07:30 GMT on our credit card payments system, recurring payments and Skype Auto-Recharge.

During the maintenance period, credit card payments will not be available for customers from the following countries: Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Tuvalu, United Kingdom and United States.

Recurring payments and Auto-Recharge will be delayed and processed after the maintenance is finished.

Please choose another way to pay during the maintenance period or if you have recurring payments or Auto-Recharge in place - simply wait. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

On the 17th September between 06:30 GMT and 07:30 GMT we'll be doing some maintenance work on our credit card payments system.

UPDATE This maintenance has been rescheduled for 22 of September and will start at 05:30 GMT and will end at 07:00 GMT.

Some UK Maestro card payments made from within Skype aren't working as expected. While we investigate what's going on, please use the Skype website to buy Skype Credit (http://skype.com/go/store.buy.skypecredit). We're sorry for the inconvenience, and we'll post an update here when we've sorted things out.

UPDATE: This issue has been solved now and all the payments are working normally.

A configuration error at Telecom New Zealand means that Telecom customers may not be able to call Auckland area online numbers. It is possible to call Auckland area online numbers from other carriers and calling online numbers in other areas from a Telecom connection should continue to work as normal.

Telecom is aware of the problem, and we're working with them to fix it as soon as possible.

UPDATE: This issue has now been resolved and all the Online numbers are working correctly again.

Between 09:46 GMT and 10:30 GMT, the following Skype features were down:

• Signing in to Skype
• Signing in to your account on the Skype website
• Making calls using Skype credit (SkypeOut)
• Skype personal online numbers (SkypeIn)
• Buying Skype credit in Skype for Windows
• Skype Auto Recharge
• Recurring payments
• The Skype store
• Purchases in the Business Control Panel

The problems have been fixed and systems are being restored. Over the next hour or so, you may still encounter some problems using the features above. We're sorry for the pain this must have caused you, but we're happy to say that things should be back to normal very quickly indeed.

Currently calls to some Danish online numbers (SkypeIn) and Skype To Go numbers are not working. Our partners are working hard to solve the issue as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Issue was resolved on 4th September at 13.50 UTC

Our friends at PayPal have informed us of some upcoming maintenance. During this maintenance period, if you use PayPal to buy Skype credit or subscriptions, your payment won't be processed until the maintenance work has been completed.

The maintenance will start at 05:00 GMT tomorrow (4th September 2008) and will be finished by 16:00 GMT. If you wish to make a purchase during this period, we recommend that you use an alternative payment method.

We'll be doing some regular maintenance and minor updates to our forum software today, September 2nd. Forums will be unavailable from 11:00 GMT - 14:00 GMT. Aplogies for any inconvenience.
