On 31st of July Skype will be maintaining the payments system starting at 06:30 GMT and ending at 07:30 GMT.
Due to this maintenance there may be delays in processing Subscriptions and Auto-recharge payments.

UPDATE:There has been a little delay with the maintenance and it will starting at 09:15 GMT and will be ending at 12:15 GMT.

RESOLVED: This maintenance was completed at 1st of August at 11:25 GMT and all payments are working normally.

Dear customers in the Netherlands - we are currently upgrading our payment systems and therefore iDEAL payments are not available.
We hope to announce some good news about IDEAL payments shortly, but until then please use other payment options available in the Netherlands .

Update:iDEAL payments are again available since 22nd of July.

Our friends at PayPal have informed us that their systems will undergo major maintenance on the 11th of July starting at 05:00 GMT and ending at 09:00 GMT.
If you buy Skype credit using PayPal at this time, there may be a delay in processing your purchase, and at times during the maintenance period it may not be possible to buy Skype credit using PayPal.
If you wish to make a purchase during the maintenance period, we recommend that you use an alternative payment option

Update: PayPal completed their maintenance at 09:00 GMT and all payments are working correctly.

It appears some of our users have been subject to phishing emails - if you have received an email that appears to be from Skype, please DO NOT enter your username and password as the result of this email.

Also, as a consequence of this, skype.com's mail servers are currently down (we are subject to a flood of bounced emails from emails that do not exist as a result of the phishing emails) - this means our customer support is not currently contactable.

We are doing our best to resolve this situation as quickly as we can and will post updates here as soon as we have them. Please bear with us during while work on solving this.

UPDATE: We are happy to let you know that our mail servers are back up, customer support is available and the phishing sites associated with this incident are no longer active. As a reminder, we strongly encourage users to be cautious when responding to any email that requests sensitive personal information.

It is not currently possible to buy gift certificates. We are working hard to resolve this problem. In the meantime, if you want to share Skype Credit with your friends there are three alternatives :

- Buy Skype Credit vouchers for your friends at Walmart (US) or Sainsbury's (UK).
- Buy Ukash or paysafecard vouchers at thousands of retailers around the world (see waystopay for details and availability in your country) and give them to your friends.
- Set up a Business Control Panel and invite your friends to join. You'll then be able to give them some of your own Skype Credit.

Also, you can use an alternative payment method.

It is not possible to activate a mobile phone for Caller identification at the moment.
We're investigating this urgently, and we'll let you know as soon as we have any updates.

UPDATE: Issue was resolved on 3rd July.

Due to a technical problem we have temporarily removed the Boleto payment method. Sorry about this. We are working to resolve the problem with Boleto and will update this post once the problem is solved.
