At Skype we make every possible effort to improve our products for the benefit of our customers. In the vast majority of instances the updates and releases we make happen very smoothly. However, on occasion the odd gremlin finds a way into the system. Unfortunately one such gremlin has affected how we recently processed some PayPal payments.
In the latest update our partner Paypal released, it wasn't possible to deliver some payments as fast as we would have liked. We also noticed an issue affecting a small number of our customers who had signed up for Auto-Recharge with PayPal. This caused several payments to be taken within short period of time. We're really sorry this happened.
We have had the boffins at PayPal work day and night to fix the problem. And we are happy to announce that the gremlin has been removed (don't worry we found it a new home well away from our computers) and the problem has now been resolved. All PayPal payments are now working properly again.
The additional incorrectly purchased credit will remain in your Skype account - you can use it to make great value calls all over the world and purchase other products. However, if you wish that the overpaid payments are refunded please contact Skype customer support and a representative will be more than happy to help you with refunding the extra charges.
