We’d like to let you know that starting at 8.00 a.m. GMT on December 19, we’ll be upgrading Skype’s forum software. The update will take about two hours. During this time the forum will be inaccessible.
Some of you may have experienced problems in our web pages that refer to Skype Pro and the NA Unlimited calling plan. We apologize for the errors and bugs on those pages and are in the process of fixing them.
Users trying to purchase the NA Unlimited calling plan via their account-management page were unable to do so. This is because the NA Unlimited calling plan is no longer available as a product. Users should subscribe to Skype Pro instead.
The current description of the Skype Pro plan on the “manage your subscription page” is incorrect. It should read, “Pay nothing per minute for landline and cell phone calls within the US and Canada. No connection fee applies for calling within the US and Canada. Fair usage policies apply to all SkypeOut calls.”
On the Skype Pro page, the text “All calls to US and Canada just $3 a month” should read “All calls within the US and Canada just $3 a month”.
We are working to fix the errors. Our sincere apologies for the confusion.
Also, users who signed up to purchase Skype Pro over the weekend were erroneously charged a connection fee on SkypeOut calls within US and Canada. If you were affected, please contact customer support for a refund.
