Problems with German SkypeIn numbers.

We are aware that some users have encountered difficulties when trying to purchase a German SkypeIn number (i.e. a SkypeIn number with the access code +49). Numbers are not delivered to users' accounts. Our SkypeIn team is working hard to resolve this problem.

[RESOLVED] Paypal live site maintenance 25th October, 2007

Our payment provider Paypal is going through several upgrades in their systems which may cause some services being unavailable. During today, 25th October starting from 8:30 GMT, you may have problems accessing Paypal live site and your orders may be delivered with a delay.

[RESOLVED] Diners payment method temporarily not offered for Auto-Recharge since 23rd October, 2007

Due to technical problems with Diners Club International network, we have been forced to disable Diners card use for Auto-Recharge. You can still use Diners for regular payments to purchase Skype products.

Auto-Recharge agreements with all users who have paid with Diners card have been cancelled.

[RESOLVED] Credit card system maintenance on 21st of October

Our credit card payment provider has informed us that on Sunday the 21st of October they are going to have maintenance between 11:45 AM and 5:30 PM GMT.
Due to the above-mentioned maintenance all the credit card payments will be delivered with delay this also affects recurring payments as well.
During the maintenance we suggest to use other type of payment methods which can be found on the following website:http://www.skype.com/products/waystopay/

UPDATE: We have been advised by our partner that the maintenance is taking unfortunately longer than expected. Updated end time is 10:40 PM GMT. We shall update the incident once the issue is resolved.

UPDATE: Issue was resolved on 21st October at 9:22 PM GMT. Due to this maintenance, many Auto-Recharge agreements got cancelled. We ask you to re-activate your agreement one more time and apologize for the inconveniences this has caused.

Skype gift certificates not working.

[RESOLVED]Accepting Skype Business Control Panel invitations not working

Starting from yesterday, 16th October 2007, it is unfortunately not possible to accept invitations for Skype Business Control Panel.

When attempting to accept the invitation, users are asked continuously to accept it again without actually joinging the Business Control Panel account.

We apologize for the inconveniences. The incident will be updated as soon as the issue is fixed.

UPDATE:This issue has been resolved and Business Control Panel invitation accepting is working normally again.

Skype Defender malware alert

Some Windows users have been affected by a malware program that imitates Skype software and attempts to steal sensitive information. 65404-SkypeDefenderSetup.exe is classified as an Infostealer, that is, a Trojan horse program that attempts to steal sensitive information such as login credentials.

When executed it displays a confirmation window with the following text, "Skype-Defender(TM) Installed! Please login to your account to apply new plugins".

When the user clicks the OK button, the malware displays what looks like a Skype login screen, but which has a different-looking sign-in button.

When the user enters the Skype username and password, the malware displays a message saying that the name and password were unrecognized.

The malware collects the entered Skype username and password, as well as all usernames and passwords saved in Internet Explorer, and sends them over to a website that collects this stolen data.

To remove the malware, please update your anti-virus software. At this time, we have notified F-Secure, TrendMicro, Symantec, WebSense, and FaceTime Security Labs. For manual removal it is enough to delete the 65404-SkypeDefenderSetup.exe file.

[RESOLVED] Delays with transaction-confirmation emails.

There have been technical difficulties which prevented our systems from sending out automatic transaction-confirmation emails. The issue affects confirmation emails to transactions made between 11am GMT on October 9 and 8am GMT on October 11.

[RESOLVED] Wrongly issued refund

During last days Skype refunded bigger amount of orders due to technical reasons. Some of these orders might get refunded by mistake. This means that some customers
will receive full refund (for full payment amount) for orders they did not ask.
