Sometimes the Skype client has problems retrieving the balance info for as long as a day or two, the correct amount of credits should be displayed in the Events tab shortly. You should be always able to view your balance on the "My Account" page on our website, this is the authoritative source for finding out your account balance. If your balance has updated in the My Account section try placing a call, it should go through and then the balance will then update correctly.
If you still cannot see your balance, please go to 'Skype --> File --> "Sign Out" and log back in with your Skype name and password again. This should also refresh you balance.
